Such passion and energy..Smudge have the potential to be right up there with the heavyweight pop-punk bands and in fact, I actually believe that they should be as they have such a quality sound. Where I go at night is f*@king fantastic, if only we had a higher rating than 5!

"Soaring melodies, passionately expelled vocals, hip-shaking beats and a well held together delivery make for an emotively charged teenage dream....keep your eyes peeled for more."
ROCKSOUND

"Smudge are no run-of-the-mill band. Strong, bold vocals are backed by drums, passionately pounded alongside a thumping and driving bass-line, razor edged confident guitar and melodic, anthemic backing chants......Jimmy Eats World - with balls!"
ARTROCKER

"Frontman Jack Valentine has such a clear beautiful melodic voice that drags you into Smudge's songs like a powerful tornado....Smudge are a melodic dream.
Smudge are great, this is how pop-punk should be, they are going to go far and they could be that new favourite band that you have been waiting for." 5/5
ALTERNATIVE PRESS Magazine

"Big vocals, big guitars, energy pushing out of every verse and surging throws into epic choruses you couldnt ask much more than Smudge give you".

BBC Manchester Introducing producer Chris Long

"One of the best new bands I have heard in a long time....a brilliant slice of rock music. The levels of musicianship shown separate Smudge from your average up-and-coming band and serves only to highlight what a professional sounding outfit Smudge are.

Smudge....a name to watch."

Die Shellsuit Die 9/10

"Solid vocals...like all pop punk should be. It won't be long until Smudge achieve chart success if they carry on in this vein."

CD Times

"Watch Smudge take over the world"

The Dreaded Press
The Smudge energy and dedication is fearsome and it's that commitment that allows them to thrash out their excellent songs with such unbridled passion and awesome power..'Where I Go At Night' by Smudge is right up there with the 'big boys' - great stuff from a great band - watch out for Smudge!!!
